Student Engagement Manager - London

You will have the creativeness to develop a pro-active approach to monitoring and student engagement to ensure attendance, submission rates and be an advocate for improving the student experience across GBS programmes. In addition, the role holder will work with colleagues across the School to reduce barriers to engagement and promote awareness of learner needs.  This will require a good understanding of the needs of our diverse student population and an ability to offer effective advice and guidance. This is a stimulating and challenging role that requires a flexible and innovative approach, working within a variety of settings, across teams, including one-to-one drop-in sessions, workshops, and presentations.

Main Responsibilities

  • To implement the student engagement strategy
  • To implement the Participation Policy and monitor pro-actively student attendance and submission rates to identify areas for study support, re-engagement of learners and learner development opportunities
  • To offer advice and guidance to students and prospective students on all aspects of funding and act as the point of contact for students in financial difficulty providing advice and reassurance via a variety of mediums.
  • To undertake duties consistent with your areas of expertise and appropriate to the requirements of the organisation to place student engagement and re-engagement at the heart of the school.
  • To ensure, in consultation with the Dean that the learner voice and the learner opportunities are improved and expanded to reflect the aspirations of the GBS brand
  • To support students in the development of the Global Banking Society and its events
  • To ensure that the GBS brand experience is carried through into the administrative support systems impacting on a great student experience
  • To support programmes induction and ensure the timely provision of all relevant documentation (including Programme and Module handbooks) to students.
  • To contribute to quality management enhancement to promote the learner voice across the school and / or partner university.
  • To contribute to performance data relating to the programmes (including employment statistics) returned annually to external bodies.
  • To coordinate and review student engagement metrics routinely for management information reports and for an annual student engagement report
  • To produce relevant documentation required by the annual institutional quality enhancement process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years office administration experience
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Attention to detail is a must as well as strong organizational skills
  • Event planning experience
