Social Media Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will support in creating and implementing the organic social media marketing strategy across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube and Snapchat. You will also be responsible for implementing, executing and analysing a paid social marketing strategy across TikTok and Snapchat. You will be expected to be fully involved from a ‘hands on’ perspective, working with key stakeholders as well as the Marketing, Sales and Production teams in London and Noida (India) ensuring targets are achieved. Particular focus will be on lead generation targets for your platforms, spend of marketing budget, consumer journey and integration of all marketing activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning paid social campaigns across multiple-social channels
- Optimising and executing paid social plans utilising native platforms, third party and internal tools, as required to deliver efficient and profitable Paid Social campaigns
- Analysing the performance of campaigns, identifying opportunities to optimise, facilitating changes to hit and exceed expectations and KPIs
- Monitor and manage our corporate social media accounts, replying to messages quickly to provide a positive customer experience and develop a sense of community with our followers
- Create and curate social media content for all channels from concept to execution, including interviewing staff and students, writing articles and blogs, managing student competitions. This requirement will take place in campuses across the country
- Take ownership of the social media calendar, scheduling regular content by liaising with colleagues across the university to cover news, events, activities and key corporate messages
- Oversee and enhance GBS's presence across multiple affiliate networks through strategic project management
- Contribute to the development and discussion of best practice in the use of social media across the organisation

- Generate newsworthy and promotional content through engagement with staff and students across our campuses
- Develop and maintain digital and offline community advertising partnerships
- Work with our community engagement team in generating and responding to brand reviews
- Influencer marketing: define the right approach for influencers to meet the set objectives. Identify and liaise with relevant influencers, negotiating fair rates for content, and ensuring the relevant agreements are in place
- Project management skills: effectively manage campaigns, communicating with social influencers and platform partners, as well as internal communications, i.e. with the Creative, Content, and Branding team
- Proactively engage with and support social media stakeholders across the GEDU portfolio of brands.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in social media management and marketing with a particular flair for social media
- Proven expertise in social media platforms and a good working knowledge of paid platforms as well as organic growth
- Excellent writing and communications skills - ability to disseminate information in a clear, concise and compelling manner, in line with organisational tone of voice
- Demonstrable experience of managing a social media community, demonstrating effective engagement
- Experience of using web-based analytics and available applications for analysis and reporting
- Competent in using a digital camera and basic video editing skills
- Must be fluent in both oral and written English for the purpose of external platforms communications.
DESIRABLE SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- A degree in a related discipline, such as Media and Communications is highly desirable
- Understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector and student recruitment
