Management Lecturer - Stratford
Global Banking School (GBS) was founded in 2010 as a specialist training center for finance and investment banking. Initially offering courses to students worldwide, GBS expanded its offerings over the years. We are currently seeking full-time Lecturers to teach across a range of levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Construction Management course and we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Main Responsibilities

As a Lecturer in Management at Global Banking School, you will deliver management related modules in the above areas within the context of Construction Management principles and practices. You will deliver comprehensive course materials, oversee all aspects of student work and understand and keep up to date with student support practices.
Responsibilities include:
- All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met
- Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials including live online learning
- To be actively involved in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
- Understand and keep up to date with student support practices
- Work towards meeting a range of clearly defined objectives for student outcomes, student satisfaction, retention and attendance
Requirements
Essential:
- A Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
- Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
- Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
- Attention to detail, accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records
- Experience supporting learners both online and face to face.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people
Desirable:
- A Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
- Experience of design / development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
