Employer Engagement Consultant

The Employer Engagement Consultant will play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing relationships with employers to create a steady stream of job opportunities for students and graduates. This role requires building strategic partnerships with diverse employers across various industries, aligning job opportunities with the courses and student demographics of GBS. The position involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to facilitate successful employment outcomes and managing industry-specific client portfolios to bridge the gap between students and job opportunities. This is a campus-specific role with one consultant allocated per campus.

Main Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with a wide range of employers nationally to ensure a continuous pipeline of job opportunities for students and graduates.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employers, understanding their recruitment needs and aligning them with the student demographics and course offerings.
- Build and enhance connections with employers across various industries on a national level, tailoring engagement strategies to align with the specific courses and student demographics on campus.
- Proactively identify and engage new employers to expand job opportunities relevant to the institution’s curriculum and student interests.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including academic departments, placements, mentoring, career services, and alumni relations, to effectively communicate job opportunities to students and graduates.
- Ensure seamless follow-up on job opportunities to maximize successful employment outcomes for students and graduates.
- Develop and manage industry-specific client portfolios tailored to the courses offered and student demographics, providing a strategic link between students and the job market.
- Regularly assess and update client portfolios to match the evolving job market and student interests.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance employer engagement, continuously seeking opportunities for student job placements and internships.
- Track and report on employer engagement activities, employment outcomes, and market trends to inform future strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Career Services, or a related field.
- Proven experience in employer engagement, recruitment, career services, or a similar role.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a diverse range of employers across industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with employers, students, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client portfolios, demonstrating strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the job market and industry trends relevant to the institution’s course offerings.
